Most soils in northern will only require between 2 and 4 hours of inundation time to replenish soil moisture. Water should flow onto bays for a maximum of 4 -6 hours. This requires: correctly designed, constructed and maintained channel structures; good flow rates; and well laid out bays. See Step 4.1.2 - Border-check System for more information.
