2.3.5.2 - How long do I take to irrigate?

Return to Main Menu | Return to Step 2 | Return to Step 2.3 | Return to Step 2.3.5 | Next Step

Most soils in northern will only require between 2 and 4 hours of inundation time to replenish soil moisture. Water should flow onto bays for a maximum of 4 -6 hours. This requires:
  • correctly designed, constructed and maintained channel structures;
  • good flow rates; and
  • well laid out bays.

See Step 4.1.2 - Border-check System for more information.
